Additionally, we pride ourselves in individualizing our program to meet the needs of each student. We offer full special services, shadows, and enrichment.  Feel free to contact Melissa Weiner, the Director of Education and Life-long Learning to see how we can help your child fulfill his or her Jewish potential.

Our school begins with comprehensive pre-school programs

The MJCBY Religious School is dedicated to working jointly with the family to teach our children the skills and values they will need as knowledgeable Jews, to become observant in the home, active in the synagogue and involved in the community. The School strives to inspire our children to love G-d, Torah, the land of Israel and Am Yisrael and to develop a positive self-image as Jews.  MJCBY is committed to providing quality, Conservative Jewish education for our children. We aim to nourish the mind, heart and spirit of each student. We strive to individualize learning in order to best meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.

We offer academic enrichment including Israeli Dancing, Jewnet (Computer), and music.   Occasional enrichment includes “Torah Yoga” and “Living Legacy” programs. Fun enhancements like Pajamas and Parsha, where children come in PJS to study Torah, or Slippers, Bracha and Bagel day, where students relax and learn brachot,  a visiting Jewish author day, and a full technology center, make our religious school experience unlike any other.

B’yachad (for two-year- olds and parents, meets 1x per month on Sunday) and Gan Katan (for three and four-year-olds, meets 3x per month on Sundays)  Programs are designed to expose our pre-K group to the colors, shapes, numbers, and senses of our Jewish world.

Gan (kindergarten), Alef (first grade) and Bet (second grade) meet weekly on Sunday mornings. The goal is to make the students feel at home in the synagogue, meet other Jewish children their age and to delight in the holidays and other aspects of Jewish life. All students are also introduced to the Alef-Bet and basic Hebrew reading.
