Parenting with Purpose

Raising Jewish Children in Today's World

  • Sessions are on Zoom, on Tuesday evenings, from 8:30-9:30pm
  • Dates: Nov 19th, Dec 17th, Jan 7th, Feb 18th
  • For Parents with children under the age of 18

Parenting often feels like a delicate balance between guiding our children and managing the daily demands that fill our lives. "Parenting with Purpose" offers a space for us to connect, learn, and grow as we consider the joys and challenges of raising Jewish children in today's world.

Together, we'll explore how to make Jewish life — Shabbat, holidays, and traditions — exciting, relevant, and joyful for our families, even as we navigate questions about belief, identity, and community.

These are some of the questions we'll explore:

  • How do we introduce the beauty of Jewish traditions?
  • When and how do we prepare our children to understand and respond to issues like antisemitism?
  • How do you balance Hanukkah and Christmas or navigate Easter and Passover in families that might celebrate both?
  • What about Purim costumes versus Halloween or explaining Yom Kippur's fasting to young children?

We will draw on the wisdom of our sacred tradition, the insights of our community, and our lived experiences to support each other on this journey. Come when you can, and as you are — this series is for parents seeking to deepen their Jewish practice nd raise empowered, thoughtful, and connected mensches.
